KABUL (BNA) The economic commission meeting, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani, Baradar deputy Prime Minister, approved the proposal of the Ministry of Urban Development to build 150 small and large factories.
The factories are to be built by the Beijing-Nangarhar Construction and Manufacturing Company in the Piroozi Project Industrial Park. Said reports.
Same like, the Commission tasked a joint committee comprising representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Public Works, Industry and Commerce, Da Afghanistan Bank, and contractors to find a fit solution to the problem of guarantees, remittances, and remaining claims of contractors above the previous government. Added a statement.
The Economic Commission also decided that contractors need to pay $25 to the National Bureau of Standards for every 2,700 tons of A80 fuel previously imported into Afghanistan.
It is mentionable that the Economic Commission had previously approved the plan of the state-owned oil and gas company to monopolize the import of crude oil in order to prevent the import of low-quality petroleum products and reduce air pollution.
Based on the scheme, the state-owned oil and gas company will monopolize the import of petroleum products and hand them over to the private sector for processing.
