Kabul (BNA) A religious scholar was assassinated by Taliban fighters in central Logar province late on Saturday.
Hasibullah Istanekzai head of provincial council of Logar told BNA correspondent, Mawlavi Samiullah Rashid shot dead in Babos region, Pul-e-Alam city the provincial capital of the province.
Taliban members are responsible for the incident, Istanekzai added.
It is mentionable that Mawlavi Smiullah had worked at Logar department of education.
Taliban had not commented regarding the event so far.
