CM Plenary Meeting Discusses Shah, Arous And Almar Hydro-Power Dams

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai chaired the plenary meeting of Council of Ministers (CM) at the Presidential Palace.
In addition to other issues, the meeting discussed the security situation in implementing of reservoir dams projects.
Mohammad Ismayel Minister of Water and Energy informed the meeting about insecurity problems facing the Hydro-Power projects under construction specially Shah and Arous (Bride and Groom) power dam.
He added that recently by using the name of Taliban, armed attacks were carried on development projects and these attacks indicate that they are designed by the enemies of the people of Afghanistan, who are losing their interests by completion of these projects.
The CM meeting stressed that the destructive activities of enemies of the homeland is designed with the cooperation of alien enemies with the aim to create obstacles on the way of  progress of public-utility projects, progress and advancement of this country.
The meeting in order to foil the plots of the enemies instructed the security forces of the country to follow up the enemies and punish them heavily.
Meanwhile, the cabinet urged the people of Afghanistan including the elders, influential and the youth to be vigilant over the plots of the enemies and join hands for foiling of their destructive actions and in this way cooperate with their government.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs and National Security Department were instructed to adopt measures for ensuring security of the public utility projects especially the power dams with close cooperation of the people.
