Kabul Conference Seeks Ways To Fight Corruption

Kabul (BNA) A two-day conference titled ‘identification of practical roadmaps for counter corruption’ was held in Kabul by the office of special envoy to president on reforms and good governance.
In the conference, special envoy to President Ahmad Zia Masoud said, “Decades of war and violence in the country have faced to challenges all social and administrative structures, reduced delivering of good services to the country’s citizens in the lowest level and provided ways for increasing corruption in the country.”
According to special envoy to President on reforms and good governance, corruption in government institutions was one of the people’s problems and has prevented from any developments and changes in the institutions.
Ahmad Zia Masoud believes that old administrative system and lack of sound management from donations of the international community during the past 14 years have strengthened corruption in the country and weakened the government in meeting the needs of the people.
