MoD: Mopping-Up Operations Leaves 26 Insurgents Dead

Kabul (BNA) At least 26 armed oppositions were killed during clearing operations led by Afghan security forces in four provinces of the country.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) press office stated BNA, the operations were launched aiming to annihilate Taliban militants in various parts of Kandahar, Zabul, Urozgan and Dykundi provinces, in which 26 rebels were killed and 23 others were wounded.
Some weapons, heavy ammunitions, military equipment and 25 rounds of anti-vehicle mines have been discovered and neutralized following the operations.
