German Envoy Reiterates Full Support To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Marcos Putzel, German special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan here at the presidential palace, a statement from the president press office said.
Both sides discussed regional cooperation, peace and stability in Afghanistan and impacts of the new US strategy for South Asia and Afghanistan.
Praising US new strategy, the German envoy expressed his country’s full support for the strategy, hoping news US stance to establish peace and stability in the region.
Marcos Puzel went on saying that Germany was favoring security in Afghanistan, saying his country would support Afghan-led peace process and reiterated full support to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile President Ghani thanked German assistance to Afghanistan, saying new US strategy would leave positive impact in the region and the provided opportunities were needed to be effectively used.
According to another report, National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar met German special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, saying Pakistan’s sincere cooperation in peace process would bring stability in the region.
NSA went on saying that Afghans were on the first line of combat against terrorism and their sacrifices have been saving worlds from ugly menace of terrorism.
Thanking Afghan people and government for their fight against terrorism, German Special envoy said his country would continue to fight against terrorism and expand regional cooperation against the phenomenon.
