Kabul (BNA) Afghan security forces carried out clearing operations to annihilate strongholds of Daesh fighters.
General Mohammad Radmanish spokesman of national defense ministry in a press conference told BNA, 11 Daesh fighters with their hand weapons joined Afghan security forces in Achen district, Nangahrar province.
He added 3 suspects have been detained by Afghan security forces in the operations.
Meanwhile, the engineering team of ANA forces discovered and neutralized 5 mines which were planted by terrorists in various parts of the province.
According to Radmanish, clearing operations of Afghan security forces successfully continue in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktia, Urozgan, Zabul, Farah, Faryab, and Kunduz province.
