Radio Police 1st Anniversary Marked

Kabul (BNA) First anniversary of Radio Police was celebrated here yesterday.
In a ceremony attended held here, Interior Minister, Noorul Haq Uloomi said the Radio Police has played important role in improving relations between police and people.   The radio by airing variety of programs including suggestions and criticizing police by citizens and conducting interview with interior ministry officials have improved police performances in society.  Hinting at sacrifices offered by security personnel in war on terror and ensuring law and order, the interior minister said that the security personnel especially police in cooperation with people have foiled the enemies malicious designs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senate Deputy Chairman, Mohammad Alam Ezedyar, appreciated police services and also assured Senate support to security organs.
Ahmad Zia Massoud, Special Envoy of President on Reforms and Good Governance in his address said that mounting military pressure by security forces against enemies would continue parallel to peace efforts.  Established in January 2015, Radio Police by airing variety of programs has served as bridge between police and the citizens.
At the end, Interior minister also presented awards and appreciation letters to the employees of the radio.
