QALA NAW (BNA) Badghis department of public health said on Friday that maternity wards have been put into exploitation in centers and districts of the province.
Director of public health Mohammad Asif Qanaat for the Badghis said to BNA that the maternity wards were built in the center and districts of the province to provide better health services for mothers.
The maternity wards were built at a cost of 7 million Afghanis, with the financial support of the UNFPA Fund or the United Nations Population Fund.
Qanaat said that the building of these maternity wards would meet the problems of many women and families in remote areas, and a midwife hired to provide health services for mothers and babies for each maternity, he added.
