26 Civilians lost Their Live in an Earthquake in Northern Badghis Province

Firoozkooh (BNA) 26 civilians lost their lives, including five women and four children, and several others injured in an earthquake in Badghis province yesterday.

Mawlavi Baz Mohammad Sarwari, Director of Information and Culture of Badghis, told to BNA, that Mullah Saleh Mohammad Pardel, Head of Qadas district of that province, confirmed in a telephone call that 26 civilians in Badruk, Khak-e-Palak, Band-e-Sefid and Sultan villages. Arbab Sarwar, Darqali Charkh and Darzeh Ghondi in Qadis district have been killed and a number of civilians injured and hundreds of houses destroyed in the incident.

He added the earthquake damage severe financial and human lost their live in Muqur district of Badghis province.

The magnitude of the earthquake is estimated at 49 degrees, epicenter of was verified in Qades district of Badghis province, reports added.
