Int’l Community Supports Afghanistan, UN Representative

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met Tadamichi Yamamoto, UN special representative to Afghanistan here yesterday, a statement said. According to the statement of the Chief Executive office, the UN special representative briefed Dr. Abdullah on his visit to UN headquarters and his speech delivered in UN Security Council about Afghanistan.
Drumming up support to Afghanistan, Yamamoto hoped the international community renews their commitments to Afghanistan in upcoming Brussels Meeting. The Chief Executive also briefed the UN special representative on peace deal with HIA party led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and the agreement on electoral reforms.
