Kabul (BNA) a cleansing operation carried out by national army troops in Helmand province, armed Taliban sustained heavy casualties in Helmand province the other day.
National defense ministry press office said BNA the national army forces conducted a cleansing operation for clearing of areas from presence of armed insurgents in outskirts of Sangeen district, Helmand province, a number of Taliban group sustained heavy casualties.
Also in the operation, 28 anti-vehicle mines, 10 kg explosives and other military equipment were discovered and seized.
According to another report, the national army forces discovered and defused two motorcycles full of explosives in Sangeen district of the province.
