Kabul (BNA) The ministry for women affairs in efforts to promote gender equality opened a two-day workshop yesterday.
In her remarks, engineer Nafisa Azimi the chairperson of commission for women affairs in civil society and human rights in senate presented her viewpoints on the subject.
Peter Demetrov the chairman of project on strengthening law bodies said that the objective of this workshop is enhancing cooperation between executive and legislative bodies. Speaking at the workshop, the deputy on policy with ministry for women affairs, stressed on creation of gender directorate in government entities and the role of women ministry in supporting women, the financial deputy of the finance ministry also spoke at the workshop on the national budget from gender angle. Aimed at capacity building of women and strengthening gender directorates at the ministry, the speakers emphasized for enforcement of women in society especially in the government bodies.
