No BSA Unless Afghans Conditions Accepted, President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met with Susan Rice, US National Security Advisor last night at the Presidential Palace.
At this meeting, they exchanged views on the security and defensive pact between Afghanistan and the USA and the time for its signing.
President Karzai while emphasizing on the previous position of Afghanistan mentioned that full stopping of foreign forces on the residential homes of Afghans, honest starting of the peace process and holding of transparent timely nationwide election, are conditions that the people of Afghanistan wants to become sure of them.
Touching on the resolution of the Consultative Loya Jerga he noted that the US should give positive response to the proposals incorporated in that resolution including freeing of the Afghan prisoners from Guantanamo prison.
The US National Security Advisor said that the US is committed towards transparent, timely, nationwide election and free from intervention on the basis of legal process.
With respect to stopping of military operation on the Afghans’ homes, General Danford General Commander of International Coalition said that he has instructed his forces to act as per the spirit of the security pact and the proposals of the Consultative Loya Jerga.
The US delegation led by Mrs. Rice did not offer any commitment on the start of the peace process to the Afghanistan’s side.
President Karzai asked the US National Security Advisor to convey to the US President Obama the message of the people of Afghanistan with respect to security and safety of their homes and the start of the peace process prior to the signing of the security pact and assure us in this respect.
