LASHKARGA CITY (BNA) A senior commander of Taliban group was arrested during a military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in southern Helmand province the other day.
Mullah Manaf the top commander of Taliban was arrested in Lashkargah city the provincial capital of the province.
Commander of Afghan national army in south of the country told BNA correspondent, Mullah Manaf had active role in dozens terrorist and destructive activities in different parts of eastern provinces.
The arrested commander in his primary investigation confessed that he was involved in dozens bombing and armed attacks in Helmand province that caused heavy losses to innocent civilians.
