Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met US national security advisor Gen. H.R. McMaster at his residence in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia here on Sunday evening, a statement from the presidential press office said.
According to the statement both sides discussed fight against terrorism, extremism, Afghanistan-US cooperation and other regional issues. Recalling their meeting in Kabul, both sides once again emphasized on continued fight against terrorism and extremism in the region. President Ghani and US national security advisor also pointed to importance of meeting between the two countries’ leaders on the sideling of US-Arab-Islamic meeting for further bolstering of the bilateral ties, the statement added. US national security advisor assured of his country’s cooperation with Afghanistan.
