Herat (BNA) 20 armed Taliban rebels including a leader of them were killed in Herat province yesterday.
Abdul Qayoom Nooristani press in charges of army corps told BNA, the insurgents were killed by army corps personnel in outskirt of Zerkoh region, Shindand district of the province.
Commander Nani a Taliban leader was among the dead.
He added, two vehicles, six motorbikes, 2 Kalashnikovs, 3 pistols, a rocket launcher were also seized and several villages have been cleared from insurgents in the operation.
