8 Killed, Dozens Injured In Kabul Truck-Bomb Blast

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani condemned in the strongest possible terms the suicide attack in Sia Sang Area of the 8th district of Kabul City, the Presidential Press Office said in a statement the other day. 
A truck bomb went off last night in a residential area martyring and wounding many of our innocent civilians, including women and children. The explosion also damaged a number of residential houses in the neighborhood. President Ghani said that the enemies of Afghanistan will gain nothing but humiliation in this world and the divine wrath in the hereafter by killing innocent people. He added that the killing of civilians, especially women and children, shows the desperation and defeat of the enemies of Afghanistan by our national security forces. The President ordered the Ministry of Public Health to take extra measures in providing care for the wounded. President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani offers his condolences to the families of the martyrs and prays for the full recovery of the wounded.
According to another report, First Vice-President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum has strongly condemned in a message the Taliban terrorist attack in Siasang area of Kabul city, asserting that roots of the crime were outside of the country. Gen. Dostum further said that the attack had been organized by foreign retired generals. In the message, the First Vice-President wished paradise to those martyred in the incident and urgent recovery to the injured. Likewise, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan looked after Kabul terrorist attack’s injured civilians in Emergency hospital. Looking after the injured civilians, the country’s President wished them urgent recovery, asserting that the modality of the terrorist incident and aid to victim families would be discussed and reviewed in the cabinet session. President Ghani asked officials of the hospital to spare no effort in connection with treatment and curing of the injured civilians.
