Sar-e-Pul (BNA) Twelve people including children and a woman lost their lives in cold weather in Sar-e-Pul province yesterday.
Abdul Jabar Haqben governor of Sar-e-Pul said BNA, the victims included four children, a woman and seven men when their vehicle deviated the road due to ice and crashed.
According to another report, four children lost their lives due to severe cold weather in Sayad district, Sar-e-Pul province.
According to governor of Sar-e-Pul, as a result of heavy snows in the last days, in addition of human casualties, hundreds of Cattles were also died.
Haqben added, so far, the road between Sayad, Kohistanat and Balkhab districts are closed to the traffic and probably the casualties increase.
He said, the anti-disaster committee assisted the affected people and urged the aid agencies to prepare urgent aids to the affected people of the province.
