Afghanistan, Pakistan And Turkey Condemn Attack On Assadullah Khalid

Kabul (BNA)  The presidents of Afghanistan, Turkey and Pakistan at threshold of their seventh trilateral summit condemned the attack on Assadullah Khalid, Chief of National Directorate for Security (NDS), the presidential palace said in a statement the other day.
The three leaders also agreed to form a joint committee composed of officials of the three countries to assess the statues of attack on Assadullah Khalid, the statement said.
The three presidents after the summit attended joint and tripartite press conferences and informed the media of results of their meeting.
The president of Turkey called the seventh meeting of the three countries as important and added that the present summit is considered a bold step towards unity and solidarity of the region.
Abdullah GUL added that the chiefs of staffs, security authorities and the ministers of public works and transport of three countries had meeting among them and discussed defense, security and transport issues.
Abdullah Gul stressed that the tri-partite summit has further expanded ties between the three countries and further strengthened it.
President Karzai expressed satisfaction over the warm welcome and hospitality of the people and the president of Turkey and thanked Turkey for hosting this summit.
He added that leaders of the three countries discussed elimination of extremism and terrorism in the region and emphasized on each other’s cooperation in this respect.
President Karzai not only considered terrorism as a threat for Afghanistan but serious threat for the whole region and called for cooperation in the struggle for this ugly phenomena particularly that of Pakistan.
He stressed that the process of peace in Afghanistan was discussed and some progress has been made in this respect.
Asif Ali Zardai President of Pakistan told the press that terrorism is a big threat for both Afghanistan and Pakistan and his country will fully achieve its share in the elimination of this phenomenon.
After the press conference a joint statement was released by the three countries in which emphasis is made on further consolidation of relations and more cooperation in security, military and expansion of tri-partite transport, economy and infrastructural projects.
