Germany’s Involvement In Afghanistan Election Issue

Kabul (BNA) A spokesman for German Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that German Special Envoy to Afghanistan was in Kabul to meet and consult with Afghanistan’s two presidential candidates for ending the election deadlock in the country.
According to BNA quoting IRNA, German spokesman for Foreign Affairs Ministry Martin Shafer while expressing Berlin’s concern over current condition related to Afghanistan run-off election said, “German Foreign Affairs Minister dispatched the Ministry’s Special Envoy to Afghanistan last week to Kabul for meeting with Afghanistan’s two presidential candidates.” According to the German spokesman, German Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Special Envoy to Afghanistan Michael Ckoch has recently met with Afghanistan’s two presidential candidates Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and offered them separate letters of Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Martin Shafer considered that dispatching of a German Envoy to Kabul was to let the two candidates know their big responsibilities over the country’s future, adding Steinmeier in his separate letters has asked Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai not to forget their role for ending the crisis and facilitating for making Afghanistan future.
