MoPH Records New 235 COVID-19, Cases, 25 Deaths in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Monday reported 235 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 1,505 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The ministry also reported 25 deaths and 557 recoveries from COVID-19 in the same period.

The figures are almost similar to the daily report on Sunday, which was 320 cases and 28 fatalities, but it is lower than the daily cases reported during the last week of July.

The Ministry of Public Health said that COVID-19 cases are descending. The ministry said that so far, nearly 1.8 million people have been vaccinated against the virus. Data by the ministry shows that the total number of cases is 151,013 and the total number of reported fatalities is 6,961.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally is 202,803,147 and the total number of deaths is 4,296,918, according to Johns Hopkins University.
