China Holds A 20-Day Training Seminar to Afghan Archeology Staff

KABUL (BNA) With the financial support of China, a 20-day training course for archeology employees related to the significance of cultural affairs under the title of “Afghanistan Cultural Relics Protection and Archeology Senior Staff Training Course” The online training seminar started today, Monday.

The seminar started with the financial support of the Ministry of Commerce of China and was hosted by the Central Academy of Culture and Tourism Administration of the country, which will be followed by the Departments of Archeology and Historical Monuments of the Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan.

Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Cultural affairs of Afghan, in his speech during the opening of the seminar, praised China for the initiative and emphasized the continuation of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Azizi said that China and Afghanistan have a long history of good and friendly relations, and the Islamic Emirate wants to open a new chapter of bilateral cultural relations along with good political ties with the said country.

Azizi added that the four decades of war have hindered the progress of Afghanistan’s archeology, he expressed hope that the countries of the region, especially China, would cooperate with the Afghans in the sector.

Meanwhile, the officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture had formerly said that they have started working for the protection and safety of historical monuments and cultural relics.
