Kabul (BNA) The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) wants all institutions of civil society and media to help this commission in enhancement of level of people’s awareness about elections.
The in charges of this commission regarded as effective the awareness of people about their participations in election process and say that if the related institutions of civil society and media in coordination with each other help this commission, majority of people attend in the process and transparency of election is guaranteed.
Head of secretariat of IEC Ziaul Haq Amarkhail said in the connection that the media should help the commission in this respect.
The media can transfer the real message to the people and respectively the latter reflects the same to IEC. The civil society should explain to the people the importance of elections and give real awareness to the people. The civil society should inform people about the importance of elections especially the presidential and provincial councils’ elections of 1393, so the people to be encouraged and share in this historical elections.
Coordination among media, IEC and civil society and the in charges of latter is regarded as necessary for public awareness about elections.
Some adulterated imaginations are reflected about elections that in collaboration of people, campaign should be made about it.
According to head of observer of democracy of Afghanistan Zekria Barakzai, with two imaginations the people believe in, we should encounter with “We” and “you”.
In former elections, we had more problems. Fraud were made in a high scale, there were much problems.
Now too, more concerns are arisen before us about transparency of elections. So, I think that media, civil society and IEC should make effort; we should have conferences so the people of Afghanistan to be ware in this respect.
Likewise, the in charges of IEC regard the security threats as the greatest challenges before elections and ask these challenges be removed.
Reporting about complete preparedness of the commission for holding elections, the head of secretariat of election commission said that at the same time he asked security in charges to maintain the security of the commission’s employees, transferring of items needed in remotest areas and provinces as well as the security of voter registration centers completely.
At the same time, a number of our compatriots besides being concern about holding transparent elections in the country, they say that attending majority of people in election process has positive result behind.
Another citizen, Shah Mahmoud says that I am interesting to attend in election process. But when we inspect a number of presidential nominees when entered into commission to register their names, they were paying more attention to their decoration.
This issue taught us this lesson that if they win the elections, instead of serving people, they think more about their own.
So, how we believe on them? Because, we want our children go to school like their own children and the living standard of the people gets improved.
They believe that so far, no considerable changes are occurred in their daily life.
The people want that their government should think about their life and serve them.
Despite the IEC wants from media to play its role in heightening of awareness of people, but daily, a number of people lose their believes about holding a transparent election and are complaining that does the 1393 elections be held or not?
