Kabul (BNA) The current political and security situation in the country asks the members of executive and legislative powers to unite for overcoming the existent challenges.
BNA political analyst commenting on the issue writes at the beginning of current week the members of the lower house of parliament in amazing and unprecedented move summoned the cabinet members for impeachment as a result they dismissed five ministers from their posts. However, a number of political experts and civil society activists say that the reason behind this crucial act could be seek in other places. Although the members of the lower house of parliament have called the reason for impeachment of ministers and their dismissal from their posts insufficient work and not spending the development budget but in any way, its consequences will be grave for the current state that the legislative power is a part of it. Currently a number of ministries, independent commissions, and independent departments are running by caretakers. The scenario of running the state run departments by caretakers earlier has faced to severe criticism of people including the members of both houses of parliament.
Unfortunately, the recent program of the lower house so far has resulted to the removal of five members of the cabinet from their positions and made the caretaking problems in state run offices more serious. This process will have bad impact on development, good governance, and reforming the system sections. In addition, it should not forget that the current cabinet has not formed easily, therefore, it will take a long time the new ministers succeed the ministers who have been dismissed from their duties by the members of the lower house of parliament. Afghanistan currently is experimenting crisis, various problems and security problems become more serious. The impeachment of ministers is another severe blow on government. In existence of such problems and dissensions among the people’s representatives in parliament and the state have provided the ground for another crisis. Therefore, in order to remove this critical situation, the relevant authorities in state and parliament need to act cautiously and consciously.
