
KABUL (BNA): The Acting Foreign Minister in a meeting with the Chinese envoy in Kabul, called China’s foreign policy positive towards Afghanistan and expressed hope for strengthening it further.
A statement from the Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that Acting Foreign Minister paid a farewell visit to Chinese ambassador Baong Yu, in Kabul.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views about the relations between Afghanistan and China during the last two years, China’s investment in Afghanistan, and the expansion of relations between the two neighbors in the future.
Acting Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi appreciated the Chinese diplomatic mission of Kabul for its role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations, especially the embassy’s presence during political developments in Afghanistan.
He also called China’s foreign policy towards Afghanistan positive during this period and expressed hope for its further progress.
The Chinese ambassador thanked the Acting Afghan Foreign Minister for providing essential facilities for the mission under the new administration.
He also highlighted the expansion of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and China in the last two years and added that his country is committed to maintaining diplomatic relations with Afghanistan in the future.
