Herat (BNA) With inauguration of Sofyan irrigation canal in Herat province 1500 hectares of land comes under water.
The work of the canal with 9 km length has completed and now is usable.
Bashir Ahmad Ahmadi head of agriculture department of Herat said BNA, the project was completed by agriculture support program of peace and reintegration at the cost of six million Afghanis.
According to him, with construction of the canal, most problems of farmers have been tackled in irrigational field.
