High Council of Human Forces Reviews MoE’s Reform Plan

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the high council of human forces held a meeting at the presidential palace, during which the ministry of education’s reformative plan was reviewed, the president press office said in a statement.
According to the statement, at the outset, the ministry of education’s deputy, Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Shinwari presented his ministry’s action plan.
He added the aim behind the action plan is to revitalize the commitment of the education ministry on fundamental reform in education system, the statement added.
Afterward, the president’s advisor on infrastructures, Dr. Mohammad Humayoun Qayoumi, minister of public health Ferozuddin Feroz, acting ministers of labor and social affairs Faizullah Zaki, urban development and rehabilitation and some others also shared their views in the respect, the statement continued.
The president said, “Current situation of the education ministry is not satisfactory and we need to do something in this regard.”
He added our main aim is to improve the education quality in the country, the statement went on to say.
The president said that a workgroup consisted of Central Statistics Office and ministries of telecommunications and education should work together to properly specify the number of teachers and existed possibilities.
At the end, the president said the ministry of education should focus on 12th grade duration and consider alternatives for technical education and other related sections.
