Kabul (BNA) Eavesdropping and recording the Afghan’s telephone calls, by US intelligence services is a frank violation of human rights and evasion to personal properties of Afghan is unjustifiable.
BNA commentator, condemning this unjustifiable action writes: recently the director of (Weekly Leaks) disclosed that almost all Afghans’ telephone calls have been eavesdropped and recorded by Americans, what, that Weekly Leaks have disclosed indicate that the US and some of its western allies have done is a clear violation of human rights and international laws which are not justifiable. Unfortunately, this violation of human rights and insulting action carried out by an intelligence service of a country that considers itself a defender of democracy across the world and has signed all international conventions which explicitly consider such actions as a violation of human rights and against all accepted international laws.
The US as a member of UN which all to members enjoy equal rights, should be committed to the UN charter and observe the rights of other nationals us it expects the nationals of other countries to respect the rights of US citizen as it stated in international laws and conventions. The US, intelligence service is not only committed such illegal act against Afghan, but earlier also has resorted to such acts against other nationals which caused outrage all over the world and angrily responded. The Afghan people are expecting this government to seriously deal against this insulting action of CIA. Because the 37th article of the constitution clearly says that personal freedom, correspondent and communication are safe against all kinds of violations.
Since, according the reports the eavesdropping of Afghan’s call by CIA was a controversial issue which was discussed in the council of minister meeting. The minister of communication and information technology presenting a detailed report on the issue said that the US and UK have installed communication facilities which were aimed ostensibly to encounter drug trafficking, but their clandestine proved to be violation against the human rights to achieve their illegal goals. The council of minister, considering these illegal acts of the two countries as blatant violation to Afghan national sovereignty and human rights assigned the Minister of Communication and Information Technology and Interior Ministry to remove the installations and instructed the National Security Directorate to present the objection of Afghan government in that end to relevant American authorities.
