Newly Appointed Indian Ambassador Assures of Continued Support To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan held courtesy meeting with Manpreet Vohra, the newly appointed ambassador of India to Kabul here yesterday, a MoFA statement said.
Welcoming the newly appointed Indian ambassador, the Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked his country’s generous assistance to Afghanistan in different spheres and called India as the strategic partner of Afghanistan.
“I am sure during your mission in Afghanistan, the bilateral ties would be further bolstered”, the minister quoted in the statement.
Meanwhile, Manpreet Vohra, Indian ambassador to Kabul asserted that his country would continue assisting Afghanistan in different fields and during his mission would work with different institutions, so that to specify the Afghan’s need for implementation of development projects and to spare no efforts in bolstering ties between the two countries.
According to another report, minister of Foreign Affairs met EU envoy and ambassadors of Germany, Britain and France here in his office yesterday, the MoFA statement said.
Hinting on removal of Iran sanctions, the EU envoy said that it is on the interest of Iran, regional countries and the whole world, adding that it will also help Afghanistan witness economic development and will leave positive impact on investment in Afghanistan too.
The FM while welcoming EU envoy and the ambassadors said that Afghanistan as the neighbor of Iran has always favored peaceful approach to Iran’s nuclear deal and is welcoming the removal of sanctions and agreement on this issue, as well as, looking forward to its economic affects in the region and in particular on bolstering economic ties with Afghanistan.
