Kabul (BNA) At least 80 anti-government militias were killed, 26 wounded and 4 more were arrested during joint military operations led by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of national defense press office issued BNA, the military operations have been launched by support of Afghan air forces to suppress armed oppositions and ensure peace and stability in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktia, Ghazni, Urozgan, Kandahar, Badghis, Faryab, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Kunduz, Baghlan, Nimroz and Helmand provinces.
Three hideouts, a weapons and ammunition storage and 2 motorcycles belonged the terrorists have been destroyed during the military operations as well, the source added.
Afghan national defense and security forces by carrying military operations are trying to eradicate anti-government militias from various parts of the country.
