Govt. Employees’ Salaries To Be Paid On Time: CM

Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers (CM) with chief executive officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair in its meeting yesterday instructed the ministry for finance to pay the salaries and other privileges of the teachers and civil employees of the government on time with keeping in mind their economic problems.  
According to BNA, the chief executive officer in his speech lauded the efforts of the acting ministers for their services to the people. Besides congratulating the national unity government to the people, the chief executive officer hoped the new administration could ensure national unity in the country.
Dr. Abdullah also urged the acting ministers to continue serving nation seriously till formation of new cabinet, saying the main objective of the national unity government is to implement the law, fight corruption, stabilize security and ensure good governance to improve living condition of the people and have co-existence with the neighboring states and countries in the region and to boost relations with international community. The chief executive officer also instructed the secretariat of the council of ministers to arrange the CoM meeting every week.
He also instructed the acting ministers to prioritize their working plans within week and hand over to the secretariat of council of ministers. Addressing the meeting, the first deputy to chief executive officer engineer Khan Mohammad urged the acting ministers to visit the provinces and thus reduce the gap between the nation and government.   
In his speech the second deputy to chief executive officer Hajji Mohammad Mohaqiq said that the national unity government enjoys the support of people. Presenting his report on revenue situation and financial expenditure in 1393, as per agenda, the acting minister for finance said that due to prolonged process of the election the revenue had reduced. However he rejected the rumors that the government cannot pay the salaries of teachers and civil servants and regards it as baseless, adding the salaries will be paid on time.
