National Security Forces Capable Enough To Defend National Sovereignty: Khalili

Kabul (BNA) The vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili has said that the national security forces are capable enough to defend the country’s independence and national sovereignty.
According to BNA, he made the remarks at the graduation ceremony of cadets in national military academy yesterday. In the ceremony attended among others by defense and interior ministers, lawmakers and foreign diplomats, Khalili besides expressing sympathy over the demise of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim, martyring soldiers in Kunar and civilians in Faryab, congratulated renaming the military academy after Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim.
Hinting at the sacrifice of the national security forces especially the national army, Khalili said that the national security forces have achieved the capability to defend the country’s national sovereignty and independence.
Expressing his gratitude over the support of international community towards equipping and training the national security forces, Khalili said that the Afghans would never forget the cooperation of their international partners.
He also said that transferring security to the national troops is a stride towards self-reliance and said that the support of international community would continue in the transformation decade.
Khalili also called upon international partners to hand over the weaponry left in Afghanistan after withdrawal to Afghanistan security forces.
