Government Committed For Transparent Elections, Khalili

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President, Mohammad Karim Khalili met with the members of Coordination Shura (Council) of the Central Regions of the country composed of lecturers of university, cultural figures and the students.
The Shura members said that this Shura has been formed at a delicate time in the history of the country and it aims creation of a framework for expansion of socio-economic and cultural services in the area.
Mohammad Karim Khalili, Second Vice President welcomed formation of the coordination Shura of the central regions of Afghanistan and said that considering the prevailing conditions in Afghanistan three is need for formation of such popular moves.
He hoped that this Shura will be able to coordinate social activities among the people and move towards peace and progress.
He added that the government is committed for nationwide transparent elections and this is the only means for political transition.
He added that the government expects the lecturers of the universities, the youth and cultural figures of the country exert all possible efforts for encouragement of the people towards active participation at the upcoming elections.
