Recent Clash In IEC To Be Investigated, Hotaki

Kabul (BNA) The physical clash which was occurred inside Independent Election Commission (IEC) campus the other night will be investigated as soon as possible, Abdurrahman Hotaki, IEC deputy said the other day. He adds that as a result of the incident, at least seven supporters of Reforms and Convergent Team wounded as they claimed that were beaten up by Independent Election Commission staffs and the opposition team. But, the Transformation and Continuity observers stated they were not a part of this conflict and the incident took place between Independent Election Commission officials and the observers of Reforms and Convergent Team. Meanwhile, he told that the incident will be followed and those are involved will be introduced to the judiciary and legal organs. He believes that there are a number of people and some circles who are interested to disrupt the audition process and he called on security in-charge to take serious steps in order to identify and introduce the culprits. He lays emphasize that election is a national process which has to be respected and it needs to be protected from disruptive elements.
