A 3 Day Women Handicrafts Exhibition Kick-off in Balkh

BALKH (BNA) A three-day exhibition of Balkh women’s handicrafts was held in 80 booths in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of the province.

In the opening ceremony of this exhibition, which has been launched for three days, a number of local officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and institutions and a number of women from the profession were participated.

Ahmad Masih Azeemi, one of the organizers of the exhibition, told BNA that more than 80 stalls were displayed in the exhibition, where all the handicrafts of Balkh’s industrial women are displayed their products.

He said that the purpose of holding the exhibition is to support domestic artisans, adding that 80 booths have been set up in the exhibition and all the products and handicrafts of women have been displayed.
Azadeh Ameeni and Sharifeh, two of the exhibitors, expressed their satisfaction with the launch of this exhibition and said that the freedom of such exhibitions can lead to self-sufficiency and the sale of more domestic products.
Domestic products such as women’s clothes, dairy products, food and other products are displayed in the exhibition.

Sayed Hassan Yahevi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mazar-e-Sharif, who visited the exhibition, emphasized that Iran is striving to create a joint exhibition between both countries in order to create a platform for exchange and to establish good trade relations between the industrialists of both countries.

After the Islamic Emirate sovereignty in the country, this is the second women’s handicrafts exhibition, which is held in Balkh province to support women in the trade and industry.
