Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has condoled in a message death of Ghulam Rabbani Khushiwal, one of the country’s former army officers and tribal elder of Logar. Khushiwal has passed way due to a disease he was suffering.
“Besides serving in army, late Khushiwal was a tribal elder and servant of the people. His death is a loss.
I offer deep condolence and sympathy to the deceased family, relatives and people of Logar and wish forgiveness to him and patience to his survivors,” the message said.
According to another report, President Hamid Karzai offered condolence message over the demise of tribal elder from Nuristan province Hajji Abdul Halim who died yesterday.
In his message the president said that the late Hajji Halim who once served as deputy to provincial governor had played significant role in strengthening peace in the country and his death is a great loss.
Besides expressing sympathy with the family of late Hajji Halim, friends and the Nuristan people, the president prayed may Almighty Allah grant patience to the bereaved family.
