BAGHLAN (BNA) A historical site has been discovered in the country’s northern province of Baghlan, the provincial Information and Culture Department in a statement said Tuesday.
The historical site named Mir Ghazi Bek has been discovered in the Tal Ghazi area of the Deh Salah district of the province, said the statement.
“The site which has been surveyed and discovered by archeology teams of the Ministry of Information and Culture, dated back to the Islamic era,” the statement quoted Director of the provincial Information and Culture Department Mawlavi Asadullah Hashimi as saying
After the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan dozens of historical sites and relics have been discovered countywide so far.
Officials of the Islamic Emirate particularly, officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture are making necessary efforts to discover and maintain historical sites and relics across the country.
Those who are involved in the trafficking of historical relics will be followed and arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Emirate.
