A Mental Healthcare Center Opened in Nangarhar

KABUL (BNA) Local health officials of Nangarhar informed opening of a new mental healthcare center by the Afghan Red Crescent Society in that province.

The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) in a statement today, Wednesday said that this center has the capacity to treat and care for one hundred and fifty patients.

The head the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis, said that the organization is striving to help people and poor families who are not able to treat, care for and protect mentally ill people in their homes, adding that the organization plans to establish such centers in other areas in the future.

Mawlavi Khalis asked investors and businessmen to establish such centers in the country to help needy people.
