Jalalabad (BNA) National security officials announced from arresting of a network of targeted Taliban assassinations in Nangarhar.
The network, led by Qari Hijratullah, was assassinating government employees in Jalalabad.
Nangarhar Governor Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhail told BNA that the network had been involved in dozens of assassinations of government employees in Nangarhar.
He confirmed that four members of the assassination network had been identified and arrested by security forces operation from Jalalabad city Sorkhroud and Behsud districts.
In the first investigation, the detainees confessed to several cases of assassination of government employees by shooting and planting mines in their vehicles.
