Cooperation Between National Army And International Forces Continued, Defense Ministry

Kabul (BNA) The spokesperson of the defense ministry says that joint operation of Afghan and international forces to the level of unit have been stopped.
But cooperation at the higher levels is being continued.
General Mohammad Zahir Azimi told the press that presently joint operation of Afghan and international forces at the level of units have been stopped, but the operation at the levels of battalions, and army corpses are continued.
He is revealing this at a time that NATO had published news that they have stopped joint operation with the Afghan forces.
However, General Azimi said that this cooperation is continued and it has stopped at the levels of unit not at higher levels.
He welcomed the third phase of security transition that enables the Afghan security foundation in carrying their tasks.
The spokesperson of the interior ministry Sedeeq Sedeqi and Rafie Ferdaus spokesperson of the administration affairs and secretariat of the Council of Ministers and Feramurz Tamana deputy head of the Foreign Ministry spokesperson also attended the press conference.
The interior ministry spokesperson said that the recent armed opposition attack on Kamdesh district of Nuristan was lead by the retired Pakistan general by the name of Mir Yusaf.
He added that at this attack 15 Pakistanis and other foreign nationals were killed and the Afghan security forces are successful in Nuristan.
Rafie Ferdaus called the change in leadership of the ten provinces as good steps towards better governance that is aimed at strengthening of the government foundations.
He called changing of a governor from one to another province using of their good experience.
