A Trick to Justify Another Intervention

Kabul (BNA) The United States announced a reward for identifying and detaining a person who claims to be the leader of ISIS in Afghanistan.

BNA analyst writes, The United States offered a $10 million reward for information leading to the capture of Sanaullah Ghaffari, the leader of ISIS’s Khorasan branch.

“Sanaullah Ghaffari leads the Khorasan ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan and is responsible for all ISIS attacks in Afghanistan,” the State Department said. “The US government has set a reward of up to $10 million for information about him.”

U.S. officials have said; Sanaullah Ghaffari, also known as Shahab Mohajer, took over responsibility for the Khorasan branch of ISIS in 2020 and has been listed as a global terrorist by the United States and on the UN Security Council sanctions list.

What has been the reaction of the Islamic Emirate in this regard?

Islamic Emirate officials say they will not allow any terrorist groups to operate in Afghanistan and have the ability to crack down on those who seek to threaten security in Afghanistan and neighboring countries through the country.

“No country needs to intervene inside Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan can take the necessary measures inside the country against terrorists and insurgents,” said Inamullah Samangani, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate.

Afghanistan political analysts see the move as propaganda by the United States that it is trying to present itself as the sole source of control for terrorist groups. The United States is playing the role of a counter-terrorism force, claiming that it is the only power. Is sincerely fighting terrorism and ostensibly defending humanity.

From the point of view of political experts, The United States is trying to show that Afghanistan soil is  danger to others and that terrorist groups are present by awarding a prize to someone who claims to be the leader of ISIS in Afghanistan.

In fact, the United States seeks to pave the way for its next intervention in the country, and by naming imaginary terrorists, it wants to justify its next intervention in Afghanistan.

After withdrawing from Afghanistan, the United States violated Afghanistan’s airspace with its drones two or three times in the name of attacking ISIS, which provoked a reaction from the Islamic Emirate.

Experts say setting a $10 million ransom for ISIS leader Sanaullah Ghaffari in Afghanistan is both symbolic and ridiculous. In fact, the US is still pursuing world domination with the ISIS card.

Experts say that if the United States or any other country has any indication or information about the activities of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, they should discuss it with the Afghan security and intelligence agencies to investigate.

The Islamic Emirate is committed to the international laws and regularity as well oblige his duty and obligation to the people of Afghanistan and the protection of the country’s territory.
