Kabul (BNA) Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with members of a number of political parties at presidential palace. BNA reported, in a meeting with members of Mahaz-e-Mili Party, Sayed Hamid Gilani, representing others spoke and congratulated the President on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Gilani while expressing his party’s support of the new government said that supporting President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai was based on accountability not kindness. In a meeting with members of Afghan Milat Party, the party’s members congratulated election of Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai as president of the country. They also congratulated the President on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. In the meeting, members of the party told the President that they had supported him in presidential elections based on his political virtue.
In a separate meeting with members of Jabha-e-Mili Nijat of Afghanistan and Inqilab-e-Islami Party, members of both parties congratulated Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on the occasion of his election as President of Afghanistan. In a meeting with members of ‘Haq and Adalat’ Party, members of the party congratulated Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on the occasion of his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. In the meetings, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan asked the parties for cooperation related to war on corruption and maintaining of peace and stability in the country. Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai while stressing that he would always be in contact with Afghanistan people said that gap between presidential palace and mosque would be bridged during his government. President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai said, “We should jointly work with people so that we can overcome in our struggles related to good governance and counter corruption.”
