
KABUL (BNA): Acting Afghan Ambassador in Islamabad, Sardar Ahmad Shekib, in a meeting with Mawlana Fazl-ur- Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam in Pakistan, has shared his sympathies over the recent tragic incident in that country that left scores of the party members killed and injured.
According to a statement from the Afghanistan Embassy in Islamabad, the acting Afghan envoy to Islamabad conveyed the condolences of the Islamic Emirate to the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam regarding the recent attack on a gathering of the party in that country that resulted in the death of a number of its members.
In the meeting, the acting ambassador expressed his condolence for the incident and discussed strengthening bilateral relations and several other related issues, the statement said.
This comes as an explosion last week targeting the meeting of Jamiat Ulema Islam Pakistan left several members of the party killed and wounded.
