Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Addresses Merchant Concerns at Hairatan Border

KABUL (BNA): Nouruddin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, has held a meeting with members of the private sector and officials to address the issues faced by merchants at the Hairatan port. He emphasized that no one should create difficulties for traders without legitimate reasons.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Azizi listened attentively to the merchants’ concerns during the meeting and pledged to find solutions. The traders highlighted several issues, including the fumigation of goods, high transportation rates, loading density, and obtaining permission from the Ministry of Agriculture.

To streamline operations and reduce bureaucracy, it was decided that all trader documents and properties would be processed at a single location. Furthermore, a plan addressing these issues will be presented to the Prime Minister’s Office, demonstrating a commitment to improving conditions for traders at the Hairatan port.
