ANSF Have Considerable Achievements, Successes, MoD

Kabul (BNA) The officials of the Ministry for Defense (MoD) said, ‘to ensure security and curb the insurgents’ attacks, the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have conducted many operations in a number of provinces which followed with successes and achievements.’
Mohammad Radmanish, the deputy spokesperson to MoD said, ‘as you know, the Afghan National Army in coordination with other security entities have conducted many extensive operations to retake the unrest provinces, that consequently, a number of districts have been successfully retaken by them.’
He added that fortunately, the Afghan National Army achievements in fighting terrorism have been eye-catching so far, as they have imposed heavy casualties on armed insurgents in Kunduz, Faryab, Helmand and Uruzgan provinces. The enemies were trying to dominate in about six provinces of Afghanistan, but they have faced with resistance of the Afghan security forces and failed to reach their ominous goal, Radmanish further said.  The MoD has launched 16 operations so far in a number of provinces including Ghazni, Helmand, Kunduz, Uruzgan and Nangarhar, resulted in killing 600 insurgents and arresting many others, he went on to say.
There is no doubt that all achievements of the Afghan security forces positively reflect their role in ensuring security, because they shelter their chests to restore security and stability in the country, he continued.
Expressing glad on retaking some unrest districts by the Afghan security forces, Radmanish said that the ANSDF have imposed heavy blows to Daesh militants in eastern Nangarhar and now defensive and local police are present in insecure districts of the province and the people are living in a calm atmosphere. Currently, the ANSDF are ready to ensure security and foil the enemies’ plots throughout the country, he said, adding the Afghan security forces will spare no efforts to defend their countrymen. Terrorism is a phenomenon that not only endangers Afghanistan’s security but all regional and the world countries as well, he pointed out. Now, many attraction centers are operational across the country and daily around 500 people are referring to be enrolled in army ranks, he said.
Likewise, more than 7000 people are now being trained and in near future, they will serve the country beside other security forces, he added.  He also said that we are making effort to not harm the civilians during operations, because the armed insurgents always use civilian houses to reach their goals and it caused the operations to get slowed.
