Lashkargah (BNA) Afghan commando forces have seized a Taliban cache of weapons in Helmand, province officials said the other day.
The seizure was made during an 8- hour operation in Gereshk district last night.
Nine Makarov pistols, 14 different weapons, three Russian Pika machine guns, 11,000 M4 bullets, 100 M240 bullets and several parts of weapons were seized by the forces in the raid, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement.
The statement said that the area was cleared of the insurgents during the operation.
