Delegation of North Waziristan’s Displaced People Calls On President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) A delegation of elders from North Waziristan’s displaced people called on President Hamid Karzai the other day and briefed him about their problems. 
BNA reported, during the meeting which held at the presidential palace, the president said those who had left their houses in North Waziristan and migrated to Khost province in fact are in their homes and can live here as owners of the homes.
The president also assured that, “The government of Afghanistan is committed to provide education for your children and facilitate health services to your people.”
Hinting at the situation in the region, the president said that peace and stability will be strengthened in Afghanistan and Pakistan and the people of the region would live in peace and prosperity.
Speaking on behalf of others, some of the elders expressed their gratitude to president and the people of Khost over their kind attention and cooperation with the refugees living in the province.
The minister for refugees and repatriates, minister for tribal and frontiers and the governor of Khost province were present at the meeting.
