Afghan, China holds a meeting to Discuss “Mes Aynak” Issues

KABUL (BNA) Acting Mines and Petroleum Minister Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar met with Chinese Deputy Ambassador to Afghanistan Deng Yanan and his accompanying delegation in his office on Sunday.

In a meeting, recent developments in the dynamics of the Mes Aynak project were discussed.

Ambassador Yanan thanking the Mines and Petroleum Ministry’s cooperation said he recently has met with the minister of Information and Culture, adding the removal of relics had been discussed.

Minister Delaware hailing Deng Yana said the Mes Aynak project is vital for the Afghan community, and the administration strives to start practical work on the project as soon as possible.

Afghanistan has long-standing historical and economic ties with China and is committed to further developing ties with the country, he added.

According to the ministry, during the meeting, they discussed the Amo river project and promised bilateral cooperation.
