Supreme Court’s New Member Sworn In Office

Kabul (BNA) The newly appointed member of the High Council of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan, Abdul Malik Kamavi, who recently won the parliamentary vote of confidence, took oath of allegiance on Wednesday administered by President Hamid Karzai.
The ceremony was held in the Presidential Palace where Malik Kamavi, the new member of the Supreme Court recited the oath of allegiance to office read out by the President in presence of Abdul Salam Azimi Chief Justice and the Director of Afghanistan Supreme Court as well as Mohammad Isaq Alko Attorney General of Afghanistan.
Kamavi swore allegiance to office and promised to ensure justice and carry out his judicial duties with honesty, loyalty and impartiality consistent to the provisions enshrined in the sacred religion of Islam, the Constitution and other laws of the country.
The President congratulated Abdul Malik Kamavi on his new assignment and wished him success in fulfilling his duties.
